Learn Italian

Italiano conversazione e grammatica

(Italian Conversation and Grammar)

Course description:

When I teach Italian I try to concentrate both on grammar and vocabulary, and enjoying our lessons teaching you something about our culture. You will find explanations of the basic structures of Italian grammar, as well as many exercises through which you can practice what you have learned.

Teaching approach:

We will discuss about Italian life, habits, food, songs, we will read newspaper articles, listen to music, and comment on figurative or descriptive texts on the topics of art, culture, politics and society. A lexical expansion of the topics of conversation takes place, so the language student can understand in different situations and express him/herself in a better way. By means of communication the language students become familiar with the Italian language/pronunciation/intonation.

Roberta RZ

City / Country of origin: Firenze

Mother language: Italian

Spoken languages: English, French, German

About me:

My name is Roberta , I’m Italian and I am 30 years old. I was born in Soave (Verona) and I grew up in a small town where my grandparents and my brother are wine producers (Yes i love wine!!:)).

Why teaching?

A very exciting thing for me in the last 8 years has been sharing my knowledge with my students: it's fantastic and I’ve found that teaching Italian to foreigners has helped me to appreciate much more my own language and culture.

I have a Masters degree in Italian and Philosophy, an high qualification in languages (English, German, French) and a Ditals II qualification to teach to foreigners.

I took my first degree at the University of Padova (2006) but I finished my studies in Paris and Nice (2009) where i worked for a cultural center, as Italian teacher, research assistant and tour guide.

I moved to Florence five years ago, because I love this city. Here I worked as a researcher (University of Florence), creator of artistic events, student advisor and Italian, History and Philosophy teacher.

I also worked in Finland as Italian teacher for few months.

I have been teaching Italian , Philosophy and History for the last 7 years.
