Learn Swedish

Course description:

Swedish is my mother tongue and I'd love to teach you both the language and the culture. I'd take you through the world of our most beloved poets as I'll teach you this Scandinavian language. Hopefully you one day can read Astrid Lindgrens or Stieg Larsson's books in Swedish!

Sto studiando, però si tu parli inglese io posso insegnarti!

About the classes

(What you can learn from this teacher)

I'm moving abroad to different parts of the world and knows what struggle it is to learn a new language. I've also realised the beauty of my own language. My big interest of lyrics and poetry will give you a dimension of the language that is beautiful!

Course program:

We go through reading, writing, listening and talking. I'll teach you about some of the Swedish cultural things. Depending of what you're interested in we can talk about everything from Max Martin, Astrid Lindgren or Alfred Nobel. I'm a nerd when it comes to knowledge, so if I don't know anything about your interest, give me a week and I've been hanging out on google enough in your subject!

Lovisa Ståhl

Mother language: Swedish

Spoken languages: Swedish, English

"Lovisa is a very encouraging, patient, friendly and attentive teacher and I enjoyed my first lesson very much. I am a complete beginner and Lovisa guided me very patiently through the first line of a song. I look forward to future lessons with her!"

I was educated at the Academy of music in Malmö, Lunds University, and I am now a music and guitar teacher. What I can help you with is teaching you how to play guitar, sing and to write songs. If you're interested in one of the things it's excellent, if you want to learn all of it, that's fine too!

I've released two albums myself and been playing in three continents. What I find wonderful with teaching music is how it increases the self confidence within a person. No matter if you're 7 or 70, you are able to play an instrument and you can write a song!
