Course description:

The plan of lessons depends on the level of a course. If it is Russian for beginners, then we will start with the Alphabet and greetings and other common phrases. We'll read, study personal, demonstrative, reflexive and possessive pronouns. We will learn the vocabulary and many other useful things

План уроков зависит от уровня подготовки студента. Если это начинающий студент, тогда мы начнем с алфавита, начнем читать и изучать простые употребляемые конструкции Мы изучим падежи, местоимения,а так же согласование между существительным и прилагательным и многие полезные яэыковые особенности.

I can also teach ESL or EFL as i am a certified teacher. I graduated from The University of Toronto where i confirmed all my credentials and was certified as a teacher of ESL and EFL.

I use Explicit - Implicit method which is based on conscious understanding and memorizing of the material of the lessons and also lots of drilling which are very unique, different and fun to do. I possess an extensive teaching/tutoring experience and all my students master the language i was teaching or tutoring to them.

A professional teacher and tutor. I was lucky to teach in Russia, Israel and Canada. I was teaching Russian and English to the students of various ages (from kindergarten to adults), cultural backgrounds and different needs. I use Explicit-Implicit method which includes conscious learning of the material and also drills. By nature i am very helpful, easy-going, enjoy teaching, books and my dog. She is a cutie! :)


Foreign Languages Teacher's Diploma obtained in Russia at the University of Foreign Languages in 1978.

At the University of Toronto i took a three year course to become an ESL/EFL teacher. I completed this course in 2000.

In 1998 I finished Shaw College in Toronto, ON and got my certificate in business administration.


I taught English and Russian in Russia, Israel and Canada. Presently I am a Russian Tutor and enjoy my job immensely. My students were the best and I was happy to reach kids and adults as well.

Proficiency level

Your Russian proficiency level will be evaluated by the teacher according to this framework:

A1 - Beginner:

  • Understands familiar Russian expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of concrete needs.
  • Can introduce him/herself and answer questions about personal details such as the place of residence and belongings.
  • Can hold a simple conversation in Russian if the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

A2 - Elementary:

  • Understands frequently used expressions related to areas of immediate relevance like personal and family information.
  • Can communicate in routine situations requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar matters.
  • Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and immediate needs.

B1 - Intermediate:

  • Understands the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in everyday situations.
  • Can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where Russian is spoken.
  • Can produce simple, connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
  • Can describe events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give explanations for opinions and plans.

B2 - Independent:

  • Understands the main ideas of complex Russian text on both concrete and abstract topics.
  • Interaction with native Russian speakers can happen with fluency and spontaineity and without strain for either party.
  • Can produce clear text on a wide variety of subjects and expose a point of view given the various options.

C1 - Advanced:

  • Understands a wide range of demanding, longer Russian texts, and recognizes implicit meaning.
  • Can express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions.
  • Can use Russian flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
  • Can produce detailed, well-structured text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns and connectors.

C2 - Proficient:

  • Easily understands virtually everything heard or read in Russian.
  • Can summarise information from different spoken and written sources and reconstruct arguments in a coherent presentation.
  • Expresses him/herself spontaneously, fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in complex situations.
