Teaching approach:

My teaching method is focused on building musicianship as well as touching on the technical side of the performance, to have much better and deeper understanding, and to build a stronger relationship to the music itself.

I do use method books but only for the beginners and some adult starters.

I teach in English or in Japanese.

Course program:

I can also help you with preparing for ABRSM and Trinity exams.

About the teacher

I'm a piano, classical percussion and theory teacher who has graduated from New Zealand School of Music (Victoria University of Wellington) and has a record of being an active professional musician for over 10 years.

Through my teaching sessions, I focus not just on the technical side but also on building your general musicianship as well.

I teach either in English or Japanese.


Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Composition and Classical Percussion Performance, New Zealand School of Music (Victoria University of Wellington), 2009.

Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in Piano Performance, ABRSM, 2002.


Privately taught piano and percussion since 2006, and I also have been a part of Strike Percussion (New Zealand)'s educational program as a percussion tutor for over 10 years.
