Course description:

No introductory knowledge or specific background in Farsi required; focuses on the spoken language used in Iranians' daily conversations, Persian rap and pop music, Iranian movies, street talk, and contemporary idioms/expressions, tailored to the learner's specific level and interests.

Teaching approach:

Introduction to informal verb conjugations, flexible grammar use and native-like structural patterns, informal vocabulary and popular idioms, etc. through music, movies, news, jokes, catch phrases, and other conversational, short, and fun pieces of linguistic and cultural knowledge and most updated Farsi learning resources along the course

About the teacher

As a native Persian speaker with a Ph.D in English from McGill University and a PhD in English Language and Literature from the University of Isfahan, Iran, I bring over 16 years of experience in teaching hundreds of students both English and Persian. My extensive background also includes a rewarding Persian/French exchange program and MIFI's francisation in Montreal, providing me with valuable insights into diverse language learning environments. With a deep understanding of language teaching and learning methodologies, I am well-equipped to address challenges and implement effective strategies.
