Learn English

Working Smarter Not Harder: Professional English

Course description:

Lessons to develop professional English skills through listening and speaking activities. Topics are tailored to the profession and student's ability to ensure ongoing success. Lesson materials are provided each class along with additional between class study resources.

Teaching approach:

I follow a structured teaching method that includes hands on practice using tailored materials and additional resources. Furthermore, I assess for specific speaking habits and provide instruction to improve these person-specific areas of growth. The lessons are personalized to the student.

Course program:

During an initial lesson, the student's language skills are assessed and a style of program identified.

There are two options:

#1 - Ongoing and flexible. This is the best option for students who have broad language goals (e.g. improve ability to obtain a future promotion). A syllabus is not provided as the content of the lessons will move at the pace of the student's growth.

#2 - Syllabus style. A set number of lessons will be agreed upon before the start of the second class. This option is best for students on a timeline and who are motivated to complete extra practice between lessons to ensure they can keep up with the content.
