I work around the specific interests of the student and approach the learning process in an informal way as part of a natural progress toward understanding. I base my practice on the idea that learning of a language is grounded on the knowledge and familiarity with words and sounds. Central for me is the use of dialogues, from there all elements can be adopted in different contexts.

Would you like to do something useful with all of your couch-time? Learn with someone who has learned languages. I've learned several (like German! Though I still have a long way to go) and have been teaching English for nearly 10 years. All ages, all skills listening? writing? speaking? Yes!

Having learned several languages, I understand the struggle. Although I am a native speaker (we often get a reputation for not understanding grammar), I understand much more because of my experiences with other languages. As a speaker of German, I can more easily find the root of various grammar problems (usually they are linked to the mother tongue) that German speakers have more easily.
