Wanting to learn how to play the piano but have a full schedule or simply no English speaking piano teachers in your area? Look no further! I'm an Australian music teacher living in Germany who's been teaching since 2014 in various countries. Thought about trying piano lessons via video call?
Whether you're preparing for AMEB, ABRSM, etc. exams or just wanting to learn for fun, I focus on teaching the skills needed to help you play anything you want rather than teaching song by song. Using methods such as Wunderkeys provides students with a fun and engaging way to learn piano by concentrating on the skills they need to be able to play along to their favourite songs and have the confidence to play (and sing) with their friends and family.
Classes will be tailored to the students' expectations, levels, goals and tastes. Broadly speaking, they will involve:
- Repertoire chosen from classics to jazz
- Solfège: spoken, sung and rhythmical
- Sight reading
- General music theory
- Basics of improvisation
- Solfeggio: parlato,cantato,ritmico
- Prima vista
- Teoria musicale generale
I majored in jazz piano, on top of having a solid classical music basis. Learning tunes by ear, improvising, composing your own songs are also possible for whoever needs a more heterogeneous approach to music lessons.
Program is not fixed as it is decided ad hoc for each student. More info upon contact.
