(Guitar Lessons in English)
I am an experienced and enthusiastic guitar tutor from England, living in Berlin. I have been playing and teaching guitar for nearly ten years. I play mostly jazz, I also play and teach rock, pop, funk, folk and indie music.
In lessons I aim to get students playing something they know as soon as possible in order to get excited about playing. I balance this with paying attention to proper technique and the theory behind what we are playing to get an understanding of how music works.
I have a real excitement for all types of music, whether it’s learning your first chords on guitar or working on improvisation or music theory. We'll go at the right pace for you and achieve your goals together.
I have experience with all ages and abilities of students, having taught in primary and secondary schools as well as private tuition. From complete beginners to preparing students for auditions to study music at university.
I love teaching and am very excited to help you play the music you love!
Bachelors of Music in Jazz Guitar, Leeds College of Music, 2013
I have previously taught guitar, bass, ukulele and band sessions to a large variety of students, from 6 years old to adults, mostly in the North of England. My previous teaching experience includes working for a large secondary school in Bradford where I planned lessons for and taught 20-30 students each day. I also worked for an agency, providing lessons for students aged between 6-18. Whilst working there I successfully put students through instrumental exams and helped to prepare one student for his university audition. I have also taught many private students of varying abilities.
