Course description:

Learn how to play drums of all styles at any skill level and at any age. All students welcome!!

Teaching approach:

I teach blended courses using both acoustic and electronic kits in addition to interactive software that allows the student to achieve greater learning outcomes. I personally have many years teaching experience and I'm passionate, enthusiastic and encouraging for all students wanting to improve their drumming skills.

About the teacher

My name is Matt Woolhouse and I'm from originally from Melbourne Australia. I have over 10 years experience teaching drum lessons to students from beginner to advanced levels. I'm happy to go to your house for private lessons or hire a studio space with 2 kits in Friedrichshain. And I'm happy to teach with both electronic and acoustic kits. I use software technology to make lessons more interactive and enjoyable for the individual student.

Qualifications

Advanced Diploma of Music Performance (Jazz and Contemporary) from NMIT (Melb, Aust)
Bachelor of Australian Popular Music Degree from NMIT (Melb, Aust)
Graduate Certificate in Educational Technologies from Swinburne (Melb, Aust)

Experience

I have taught in many varied environments from one on one individual drum lessons to small group and large ensembles. My students range from primary school age, middle years campus students, adults and mature age students. I've predominately taught in Melbourne but have provide workshops in other capital cites in Australia.
