Course description:

Are you looking for an easy-going, comfortable, safe setting to practice your German conversation? Through my course, you will gain confidence in speaking while learning how to recognise and correct your own mistakes as you speak. No beginners! A2 level and higher!

Auf der Suche nach einem Ort, an dem du auf relaxte und sichere Weise deine Deutsch Konversation üben kannst? In meiner Stunde wirst du lernen selbstbewusst Deutsch zu sprechen, deine eigenen Fehler zu erkennen und bearbeiten sowie dein Vokabular und deinen Sprachfluss zu steigern.

Tu est en recherche d'une environnement qui te permet de pratiquer parler en allemand d'une façon relaxed et comfortable? Pendant mon cours tu apprendras la confidence de parler allemand, de recogniser tes erreurs ainsi que ameliorer ton vocabulaire et niveau de parler courrament.

Teaching approach:

As a foreign language learner who speaks 7 languages besides my own native language (German), I have gathered many strategies on how to achieve a comfortable level of fluency (the most recent language being Italian). I have an open an easy-going personality, that is encouraging and motivating.

I believe you can speak German, even if you only know a few hundreds of words, and my experience has proven this.

Course program:

No beginners, sorry! A2 level and higher! My courses usually follow an informal conversational style, paired with vocabulary and grammar exercises that are carefully selected according to your needs. I provide tips on how to improve your self-study. If you have specific topics you want to discuss I'm happy to integrate them into my lesson planning as well. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

About the teacher

I have always been passionate about studying and speaking foreign languages. As soon as I started learning English, I would spend my past-time memorizing words, reading books, watching movies in English. I have tutored high-school students and young adults from when I was a high-school student. Then I then completed my Bachelor degree in International Business Management (minor: Doing business in China), which was taught completely in English and through which I have been exposed to many different cultures. Over the last 8 years, I have lived in several countries all over the world. Most recently I have been teaching English for over 2 years in Japan at a small conversation school and have taught German private lessons online as well as face-to-face. I have taught conversation to people of all ages in small and larger groups as well as one-on-one.

I believe you can speak English or German even if you only know a few words and I encourage students to make use of what they know. It's all about being passionate and curious! Having been exposed to so many cultures and languages you can have memorable chats with me about anything that interests you. My lessons are customized to all levels and you will feel comfortable speaking English or German at your level and pace.

I'm extremely passionate about languages and having learned 5 languages over the years via self-study and lessons, I will happily share valuable study strategies and tips on how to improve the way you study.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in International Business Management (minor: Doing business in China).

I am currently pursuing a TESOL certification, expected to receive by September 2017.

Though my educational background is not certified, I have tremendous experience in language learning and speak 6 languages to this point!

Experience

I have taught English for 2 years as a full-time teacher in a private language school in Japan. I taught private, small group lessons, large college classes, kindergarten lessons.

I have been a private teacher for 10 years teaching English and German to people in Germany, Canada and all around the world.
