This course has a strong focus on CONVERSATION and confidence building through positive reinforcement. By the end of this Intermediate Course, you will be able to handle most routine situations in English including traveling on business or vacation where the target language is spoken.

My approach in this course is to have the students start using the language directly after learning something new. This is the most effective way to ensure retention and thereby creating confidence in each persons' ability to communicate. My classes are dynamic and are constantly moving forward and each student has many opportunities to speak and quickly see their own progress

Hello! I'm a Canadian-born Business English coach for professionals, based in the Dominican Republic, with over 26 years of experience teaching English.
Throughout my career, I've worked with thousands of students in ESL, TOEFL preparation, teacher training, and professional English communication.
Today, my focus is on helping professionals communicate more fluently, naturally, and confidently in English. Through personalized Business English coaching, I help clients strengthen their communication skills, overcome language barriers, and feel more confident in meetings, presentations, negotiations, and other professional situations.
Having learned Spanish as a second language myself, I understand the challenges of communicating confidently in another language. My goal is simple: to help you move beyond knowing English to using it confidently and effectively in your professional life.

I have 26 years of teaching experience. I started working in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic, in 2000 and continued working there for 16 years. Since then, I have worked independently, offering language services to local companies and individuals. These services have included 'language classes', 'Business English', translation from Spanish to English, and I also offer interpreting services.
During that period from 2000 to the present, I have worked exclusively in the language industry. I have 10's of thousands of hours of teaching experience both in the classroom and online.
