The course will focus on developing or improving grammar skills in conjunction with speaking and the use of idiomatic speech in association with various theme-based topics.
It is eclectic, holistic, dynamic, theme based and multi-faceted.
Each week students will learn about a grammar point or points, conversation strategies and vocabulary and idioms associated with a particular theme or topic of their choice.

I am an English as a Second Language (E.S.L) teacher who currently teaches for a school board in Toronto on a substitute teaching basis. I have been teaching E.S.L. for twenty three years. I teach because I like helping others and imparting wisdom. I am interested in travelling, artistic pursuits, music and cultural activities. I hope to help others gain a more complete understanding of English if possible. Please note that I have temporarily relocated overseas and currently reside in Istanbul, Turkey. As such I can teach clients in the Istanbul area at present if necessary.
I have two Bachelor degrees, one in Anthropology and the other in Geography. I also have my E.S.L., part one from Brock University, St. Catharine's, Ontario, Canada. I obtained this designation in 1994. Lastly, I have a TESL Ontario certificate which I obtained several years ago.
I have taught, grammar, writing skills, TOEFL / IELTS, pronunciation, Enhanced Language Training (ELT), Business English, reading & listening comprehension classes, Test of Spoken English (TSE), M.S. Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc. I have been teaching in Toronto to individuals from all over the globe for the last two decades.
