As a native Persian speaker with a Ph.D in English from McGill University and a PhD in English Language and Literature from the University of Isfahan, Iran, I bring over 16 years of experience in teaching hundreds of students both English and Persian. My extensive background also includes a rewarding Persian/French exchange program and MIFI's francisation in Montreal, providing me with valuable insights into diverse language learning environments. I am a multilingual, native English, language teacher/writer/translator with a TESOL certificate and many years of working experience in Canada and abroad. I like teaching ESL, the basic sciences and math to elementary and high school students. Having grown up in Canada, I became aware of the need to help immigrant children integrate into society and since I liked languages to begin with, I thought getting them to appreciate English collocations, idiomatic expressions, etc., and express themselves better, would help. Many new Canadians who have learned little conversational English need to improve their speaking skills.. I know then I am making a valuable contribution to society in giving someone the potential to raise his income level.
My interests vary as I have a wide cultural base. So I like photography, visual art, animal behaviour, fossil and gemstone collecting as well as nature walks.
My rates are extremely low as I would to help people at all economic levels.

I am originally from Labrador but have been living on and off in the wonderfully cosmopolitan and multicultural city of Montreal since the age of 7. I have worked in the music and film industry but made the career change towards education almost 20 years ago. Hello dear potential students! I immigrated from the Soviet Union 35 years ago, so it is pretty hard for me to choose my primary language. I am fully trilingual :-))

I got my teaching degree in Montreal, I am an ESL teacher and I also teach French as a second language. What I like about teaching is to learn together with my students, to see their progress in fluency, communication and to help them overcome all difficulties in grammar. If your mother tongue is Russian, French or Hebrew, I can assist you in translation comparison process between all these different languages.

I have extensive experience working in Middle East and here in Montreal. I am also experienced in teaching on Skype, and I really believe in student-teacher mutual connection.
