My name is Steven. I am a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, studying Music Education with specialisations in Piano, Percussion, Composition and Theory. I have been an active and performing musician for 14 years and a Teacher for 8. I am passionate about the exchange of knowledge between people and take great pride in seeing students grow and develop their abilities.
I have worked with individual students of all ages on various musical projects, enabling them to develop a wealth of skills beyond reading and playing music. I have also been employed in a State Funded School as a Classroom Music Teacher, working with young people from 5 years to 18 years old. I am also an avid knitter and crocheter, and I have enjoyed opportunities to teach these handy, therapeutic skills, too. I firmly believe in the importance of education and mental stimulation and I really look forward to working together, with you, to develop the new skills you seek! Please, do get in touch. :)
Bachelor of Education in Music with Honours of the First Class, The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, 2016.
I have studied, worked and taught in Scotland for the last few years. I am a teaching graduate, working intensively over 4 years at university to understand pedagogical theory, and considering how I can use this to teach and share music.
My main subject is Music; I have in-depth and specific knowledge of Music Theory, Composition, Piano and Percussion. I have worked on a one-to-one basis with people of all ages. My youngest students have been aged 4-5 years and my eldest have been up to 60+ years.
I have worked as a Classroom Music Teacher with groups of up to 25 young people at a time, ranging in ages from 5 to 18.
