Hello! My name is Eric and I'm an American PhD student at Doshisha University. Before becoming a doctoral candidate, I was an English teacher at a private high school for 3 years. I also got my Master's degree in Japan (Kyoto) and have been here for almost 7 years. In addition to English, I have a passion for social studies, especially history. My PhD dissertation is on Native American trans-Pacific history. I have also played bass guitar for 15 years and have two adorable cats living in my kyomachiya house.
