About the teacher

Hello! My name is Maro and since 2017, I’ve been helping people from all over the world discover the beauty of the Greek language as it’s spoken today in Greece. I speak eight languages, and five of them — English, German, Italian, French, and Spanish — at a professional level. I also speak Romanian, Arabic, and Turkish quite well. This multilingual background helps me understand the challenges of learning a new language. I hold a degree in Communication and Media Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a Master’s in Service Management from the Athens University of Economics and Business, and I’m also a graduate of the Department of Teaching Greek as a Foreign Language at Panteion University of Athens. My teaching style is completely tailored to your needs and interests, whether you’re learning Greek for travel, work, or personal growth. You’ll never feel lost in a “difficult” language, because I’ll always guide you with patience, humor and structure!

Hallo! Ich bin Maro und seit 2017 helfe ich Menschen aus aller Welt, die Schönheit der griechischen Sprache zu entdecken – so, wie sie heute in Griechenland gesprochen wird. Ich spreche acht Sprachen, darunter fünf auf professionellem Niveau (Englisch, Deutsch, Italienisch, Französisch und Spanisch). Mein mehrsprachiger Hintergrund hilft mir, genau zu verstehen, wie man sich beim Lernen einer neuen Sprache fühlt. Ich habe Kommunikations- und Medienwissenschaften sowie Service Management studiert und bin zertifizierte Lehrerin für Griechisch als Fremdsprache. Mein Unterricht ist individuell auf dich abgestimmt – ob du Griechisch für Reisen, Arbeit oder einfach aus Liebe zur Sprache lernst. Mit Geduld, Humor und Struktur wirst du dich nie verloren fühlen!

Parlo otto lingue, di cui cinque a livello professionale (inglese, tedesco, italiano, francese e spagnolo). Il mio background multilingue mi permette di capire perfettamente le sfide che si incontrano quando si impara una nuova lingua. Ho studiato Comunicazione e Scienze dei Media, Service Management e sono insegnante certificata di greco come lingua straniera. Le mie lezioni sono completamente personalizzate in base alle tue esigenze e ai tuoi interessi — che tu voglia imparare il greco per viaggiare, per lavoro o semplicemente per amore della lingua. Experience

I teach modern Greek as it is spoken today in Greece, but I will also be able to introduce you to the basics of ancient Greek. My students come from different countries, mainly Germany, Austria, England, Korea, and Italy.
