This guitar and ukulele course offers a creative way to learn music at any level. Lessons are based on songs and styles the student enjoys, using real music to teach technique and theory naturally. Conscious breathing is used to reduce tension, improve focus, and connect with the instrument. Improvisation helps students develop their musical ear, confidence, and a strong musical language from the start.
Each 60-minute guitar and ukulele lesson is designed to be focused, balanced, and engaging. The class begins with a short breathing and relaxation exercise to release physical tension, improve concentration, and create a calm connection with the instrument. This helps students feel present and comfortable before playing.
The main part of the lesson is built around songs or musical styles chosen by the student. Through these pieces, technique and music theory are introduced in a practical and natural way. Chords, rhythm, scales, harmony, and musical structure are explored directly within the music, allowing students to understand and apply concepts immediately.
Improvisation is an essential part of every lesson. Guided improvisation exercises help students develop their musical ear, creativity, and confidence. By improvising, students begin to understand music as a language rather than something to memorize, which leads to faster progress and deeper musical understanding.
Each lesson is adapted to the student’s level and goals, whether they are beginners or more advanced players. The focus is on steady progress, enjoyment, and building tools that students can use independently. The method encourages curiosity, listening, and expression, making every 60-minute session a complete and meaningful musical experience.

I am a musician and music educator from Bogotá, Colombia, with over 20 years of experience working across a wide range of musical styles. Music has always been a central part of my life, and I strongly believe that music is a right and something everyone should have access to, regardless of age, background, or previous experience.
What I enjoy most about teaching is sharing this passion and helping people connect with music in a personal and meaningful way. I strive to create a relaxed, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace. For me, teaching is not only about technique, but about confidence, creativity, and expression.
One of my main interests is improvisation, which I consider one of the most natural and effective ways to approach music. Improvisation helps students develop listening skills, musical intuition, and freedom of expression, and I enjoy incorporating it into my teaching whenever possible.

My students have ranged from very young children (from 3 years old) to adults up to 60 years old, with diverse musical backgrounds, abilities, and personal goals. I have taught complete beginners taking their first steps in music, as well as students with prior experience who wanted
