I am uniquely qualified to teach business English as I worked in the corporate business world in London for many years before becoming a teacher. I worked in the areas of sales, legal, magazines, and online, and I use this experience to give my students the best training possible.
We do lots of practical work in my lessons and conversation is very important so no more boring grammar lessons! My lessons will give you the skills and tips you really need to do your job, or to get a new job!
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
a. Handle informal and formal introductions
b. Describe work duties and job positions
c. Speak appropriately on the phone, take messages, use general telephone language
d. Present a company – facilities, departments, strengths
e. Exchange information about products, dimensions
f. Discuss history of a company and products
g. Understand and use basic socialising and chatting language
h. Set up and participate in meetings--actions, suggestions, decisions, problem solving
i. Demonstrate appropriate letter writing skills– enquiries, orders, confirmations
j. Fill out application forms
