About the teacher

My name is Soma from the Berliner rock group ’The Midnight Shower’ where I do lead guitar. I offer guitar lessons in English with 5+ years of teaching experience, right in the city center. Besides playing guitar since the age of 14, I also studied music theory/chord progression theory as a student of the Szabolcsi Bence Music School in Budapest. In my experience, even intermediate guitarists often have a hard time applying dry textbook-knowledge to real life playing. During my lessons, I utilise a unique approach where theory and playing go hand in hand and all musical foundations are explained from the guitarist’s point of view. According to your individual needs, we can focus on various areas like learning specific songs, chords, scales, picking technique, ear training, improvisation etc.
