Hello my name is Henry,
I'm 24 years old and I'm from New York. I have a diploma to teach English from the University of Cambridge and I have been teaching English for over 2 years to children and adults of all ages and levels. I offer general English classes that I will adapt to your needs.

I use authentic materials such as magazine articles, movie clips, and music videos that I have adapted for the purpose of English lessons. You'll find that these materials are much more interesting than standard textbook worksheets.

Unlike most teachers, I pay special attention to the learner's accent and have many techniques to improve it. This is an aspect of English that is too often ignored in language classes.

Conversational English. Vocabulary and verb tenses will be adjusted according to each student's needs. Assistance with pronunciation and intonation will be provided. Business English conversation also included as needed by student.

This course will help students improve all aspects of English Language skills. We will practice reading, writing, speaking and listening. We will emphasize whichever areas the student would like to work on most. We will also emphasize making the student sound more like a native English speaker!

My course is unique in that I will tailor lessons to fit your needs. I will also make lessons interesting and efficient! We will cover relevant topics and include topics related to culture, current events, business, or anything the student would like to emphasize. We will also learn about special phrases and idioms so that the student can sound natural and confident when speaking and writing!

This course is taught by a native English speaker who is certified to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL). In addition, I have taken the SAT multiple times, and am familiar with the new changes. I can teach strategies for taking the test, as well as tutoring the actual subject matter (reading, writing, math, and the optional essay). I am also very familiar with teaching the TOEFL exam and have been certified to do so. I can teach strategy for taking the exam and help with the material.

This is Conversational English. I will be teaching English that is used on a day-to-day basis. The goal of this course is to be able to hold a conversation in simple English, give directions and to describe objects and places.

I will be conducting the lessons more as a friend instead of a teacher to the students. Allowing ample chances for the students to converse and giving them real-life examples in order for them to understand better. There is no need for students to be nervous as I will do my best to speak to them in Japanese and help them ease into speaking English fluently.

Casual English conversation to start lessons (10 min). PREACTIVITY: Introduce topic/target language, elicitation questions for comp checks and vocabulary (10-15 min). ACTIVITY: Relevant articles, students read and do activity to check comprehension, review TL/vocal. POST ACT: Writing, grammar.

My dynamic personality! I am passionate about making English learning FUN! I use real life examples and activities and teach language that is meaningful to the students. This course will help improve your English writing skills through conversation, reading and writing. We will explore different types of writing, like argumentative, descriptive, narrative. It will be helpful to students and professionals wanting to interact with English on many different levels.

A wise man called Dumbledore once said: "Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic." But in order to use this source effectively and, of course, magically, we need training.

I'm a very easy-going, creative and curious person. I believe in interactive learning, active participation and hard work. Each student brings something new, and so I make sure to tailor the program accordingly.
