Electric & Acoustic Guitar tuition from complete beginners to advanced. Any style: pop, rock, blues, jazz, funk, classical guitar. Whatever songs, riffs, comps, 16th note, strumming patterns (lead guitar, rhythm guitar) harmony and music theory and the like. Skype lessons would also be available.

Lessons will be tailored to you. Lessons involve a range of issues from how to choose the guitar that suits you, Electric or Acoustic, also how to hold the plectrum, guitar itself, how to read a sheet music, work on strumming patterns (3 chord songs), and more advanced skills. it’s not brain surgery. it’s going to be a lot of fun! I believe everyone can play guitar, regardless of talent. What I can offer is a flexible teaching plan that works for each student, and I ask for their participation so that I am not in charge of the project, but we are. For beginners and intermediate players, they need different materials and informations depending on the style they want, but the fundamental learning behind it is the same. How I incorporate theory, technique and expression into a dish is to develop a ready-to-play musician.

Many musicians I know & have met along the way have always said they find it hard to write lyrics to their songs, the music seems to flow through most of them easily but coming up with ideas for which their songs could be about is a harder task. I started off as a lyricist before I learned to play piano & guitar as words seemed to come more easily to me. I was always told if your lyric stands strong on its own, then adding music to it will just enhance it & I can help you in that area.

My course is based on the development of lesson plans and home study plans. In this way, the students will study my custom made material and will be fully instructed on how and what to practise in order to be as effective as they can. My lessons are graded and also based on the Rockschool Syllabus.

What makes my teaching stand out is the blend and balance of all the elements (technical, aural, theoretical) which will enable the students to achieve all of their goals, ranging from being able to strum simple chords to becoming a professional guitarist and musician, and ultimately achieve learning independency! In addition the students benefit from customised lessons for any type of learner in order for them to be effective in the learning process.
