CELPE-Bras (Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners) is the only certificate of proficiency in the Portuguese language recognized by the Brazilian Government. The course is a stimulating and thorough preparation course for students who wish to take the CELPE-Bras exam.

CELPE-Bras (Certificado de Proficiência em Língua Portuguesa para Estrangeiros) é o único certificado de proficiência reconhecido pelo governo brasileiro. O curso é uma preparação estimulante e cuidadora para aqueles que querem prestar o exame CELPE-Bras.

This Portuguese course will teach you the reading, writing, listening and speaking skills which are necessary for the exam as well as the grammar and vocabulary which are known to be essential for exam success. The teacher uses texts, audios, and videos, and ask you to write about the topic. Following each session you will have an essay for homework. These essay exercises are based on previous CELPE-Bras exams.

O objetivo do curso é permitir que os alunos atinjam o nível básico de sobrevivência diária (vocabulário, gramática, morfologia, sintaxe e fonética básicos). Ao final do curso, os alunos serão capazes de se comunicar em português, em várias questões práticas do dia a dia.

The aim of the course is to enable students to function at a basic everyday survival level (basic vocabulary, grammar, morphology, syntax and phonetics). Students should be able to communicate in understand Portuguese on a number of practical everyday matters.

In my Brazilian Portuguese classes you can learn the language in all its aspects (reading, writing, understanding and speaking) in an enjoyable way. I will also introduce you to the Brazilian culture so you will be able to travel or to make business in Brazil. Using online resources, I offer knowledge about Brazilian Culture and History that focus on intercultural aspects that to help the student to understand Brazilian society.

O curso tem como objetivo ensinar os primeiros passos na língua portuguesa, começando com: fonética e construção de palavras (alfabeto e pronúncia); estrutura básica das frases e expressões do dia a dia; primeiros verbos em português e nome de objetos do dia a dia; o uso das preposições nas frases.

The course aims to teach the first steps in Portuguese language, starting with: phonetic and building words (alphabet and pronunciation); basic structure of sentences and daily expressions; first verbs in Portuguese and name of objects of daily life; the proper use of prepositions in sentences.

In this course you will learn word by word, sound by sound, how to express yourself in a basic way, in few days. Focusing in basic structure in the first two classes (phonetic, pronunciation, alphabet and order of words in a sentence), will give you the confidence you will need to understand the language, and build your first sentences already in the second or third class.
