I really enjoy meeting new people and getting to know other cultures, I also like making connections and of course helping my students to improve their lives by learning a new language.
It was because I was teaching English and I got the chance to get a certificate to teach Spanish too.
People often come to Mexico for business, they spend at least 3 years because of their contracts, this creates the need to learn.
Spanish has some difficult topics but is very close linguistically to some worldwide languages, I know there are other languages far more difficult to learn, such as German, Polish and Asian languages.
My students always say Mexican Spanish is more international and easy to learn and understand while speaking.
They like to know about celebrations, ancient culture, archeological sites, places to go on vacation, towns and events outside Mexico City.
There are some concepts that don't exist in other languages such as imperfecto, the mixed sentences with objeto directo + objeto indirecto + verb. These are the ones students always struggle with.
I think that depends on the person's habits, their willingness to learn and they're learning techniques. Everyone has something different they use to learn.
The could try something different like playing games or watching movies if they struggle with grammar or books for example. Changing the way of learning and be very positive.
