What do you like the most about teaching Greek?
A:

A language is a part of the identity of a culture. I like transducing that information. Greek is a historical language that changed over the years but remains the language of science.

A:

I have been teaching Greek since I was a student. I was teaching Greek in language exchange programs.

In your experience, what are the most common reasons for wanting to learn Greek?
A:

History and Mythology! Most people are fascinated by the Greek history.

How difficult is it to learn Greek, compared to other languages?
A:

It is a difficult language because most people are familiar only with the Latin alphabet but Greek is a language that is used daily. Greek words have been borrowed by many languages.

What aspects of Greek culture are your students usually interested in?
A:

Mostly the artistic side of Greece and the aesthetic of Greeks.

What's the hardest part of being a Greek teacher?
A:

A:

Being passionate about it.

A:

the alphabet and grammar

What is your advice for students who are struggling?
A:

Talk to your teacher! There is always a trick that will help you memorise or learn something.

How long does it take to become fluent in Greek?
A:

it depends on the student, intensive courses may assist a person become fluent in 1 year
