What do you like the most about teaching Arabic?
A:

I believe that the Arabic language isn’t difficult and consider it a logical language that makes a lot more grammatical sense. Finding easy ways to teach Arabic is my passion. Arabic is a fun language to learn. I like to show the learners its sense, help them interact with the language even among each other as foreign language learners as much as they can and explore alternative approaches to make it more inspiring for daily interaction


 
Q:
When did you start teaching Arabic?
A:

I teach Arabic language for non Arabic speaking since 1996 as one to one lessons, teaching then was at a part time and extra job, but since 2019 it become my and profession.


 
Q:
In your experience, what are the most common reasons for wanting to learn Arabic?
A:

- Its spoken by more than 280 million people as a native language

- Available economic potential for investors, future business and diplomatic relations, someone who speaks Arabic will be in an extremely advantageous position job-wise

- For travelling to the Middle East or to Gulf cities

- The interest for Islam and Middle eastern studies by lots of scholars.

- Arabic is a bridge language Knowing Arabic opens the door to many other languages in the region. For example, approximately 50% of the vocabulary of Persian (Farsi) is made up of Arabic words. This applies as well for to learning Urdu or Turkish. Also, Hebrew is related linguistically to Arabic, which makes it easier to grasp the grammatical and semantic concepts in Hebrew.


 
Q:
How difficult is it to learn Arabic, compared to other languages?
A:

The difficulties in learning the language is its alphabet and the way of writing (right to left). There are different rare sounds of many letters, and due to clusters of consonants, it sounds a bit more complex than in other languages , once students master them, then it became easier to understand and learn. Besides that, Arabic has a lot of grammatical features that are very different from some other languages.

The path of learning Arabic won’t be easy or quick. But by learning it, you’ll challenge yourself, sharpen your mind and your language-learning skills


 
Q:
What aspects of Arabic culture are your students usually interested in?
A:

Normally students were asking about the coexistence of Islam and Christianity in some Arab countries. The sociopolitical role of women, the way of living and how socializing with people might be, some were interested in political issue and the conflicts in the Middle East.
