To be able to share my passion about learning/teaching a foreign language and my culture, since it is so much more than that! Moreover, when I am teaching, I am also learning from my students. And when I see in their eyes or their reactions that they are having fun and enjoying the process, that’s even better ☺️
I actually started while I still was in university, so… more than 20 years ago. Time runs so fast
It really depends on the student.
While very often students learning English they do for professional reasons, students choose Spanish for so many different reasons: because they want to travel to Latin America/Spain, or they already did and want to learn more, maybe they have another passion or leisure related to Hispanic culture (salsa, tango, food, cinema, etc.), of course for future access to different career paths, etc.
It will depend on the student: their mother tongue, if they already have learned any other foreign language or even if they have several mother tongues.
I ,myself having learned several foreign languages, have found that each language has its own “easy access” points and “struggle a bit” points. It depends ☺️
Pronunciation , speed, some vocabulary…
Music, gastronomy, particular cities history and culture, festivals…
To find the “easiest” way to teach the “R”
A student happy to be there, curious about anything, feeling free to ask questions and doubts…and doing a minimum of consistent review at home ;-)
As for any language, to keep a consistent review at home…
Never lose hope! And share your struggles and questions with your teacher, please!
