Q:
What do you like the most about teaching Spanish?
A:

The best of teaching is meeting people and learning a lot from other cultures. Teaching is receiving a lot more than what you give.

Q:
When did you start teaching Spanish?
A:

I moved to London in 2001 and started to meet people interested in learning about my language and my culture.

Q:
In your experience, what are the most common reasons for wanting to learn Spanish?
A:

I don't have a straight answer. The reasons are personal and different but what I can feel is the attraction for the hispanic culture.

Q:
How difficult is it to learn Spanish, compared to other languages?
A:

Spanish is very very very very easy to learn. You just need the right teacher.

Q:
How is Colombian Spanish different from that of other countries?
A:

The Spanish language is only one. It is like English when spoken in different countries. Colombian Spanish has its own singing/accent and a few variations in the use of some expressions but it is the same language spoken in the rest of the hispanic countries.

Q:
What aspects of Colombian culture are your students usually interested in?
A:

Colombia is a beautiful country to explore. It has all climates, variety of landscapes and the most diversity of birds in the world. But if I had to choose one special thing,I would choose the people. They are genuinely the nicest people you can meet.

Q:
What's the hardest part of teaching Spanish?
A:

The Subjunctive. Many languages don't have it.

Q:
What makes a good Spanish student?
A:

all students are good when they have the right tutor. But in general, the ones that do homework learn faster.

Q:
What's the hardest part of learning Spanish?
A:

Again, the Subjunctive. It can be difficult if their mother tongue the students don't have it.

Q:
What is your advice for students who are struggling?
A:

there is not a bad student but a bad teacher. The advice is to call me. I will find the way to help the person learn fast and effectively. The personal connection is very important
