About the teacher

Hello, My name is Michael. I am from Carmarthen in the United Kingdom. I have been living and teaching English and Science in Monterrey for just over 20 years. The thing that I really love about teaching English is seeing the growth in my students' abilities and confidence after they have taken classes with me. I love to spend time with my family and reading. I also love to watch football (soccer).

Hola, Mi nombre es Michael. Soy de Carmarthen en los Reino unido. He estado viviendo y enseñando inglés y ciencia en Monterrey por más de 20 años. Lo que realmente me gusta de la enseñanza del inglés es ver el crecimiento de las habilidades y la confianza de mis estudiantes. Me encanta pasar tiempo con mi familia y leer. También mi gusta ver el fútbol.

Qualifications

I have a degree in hotel and Catering Management from the University of Wales. I graduated in 1994.

Experience

I have taught many different English courses: conversation, business English, Grammar, and Science. My students have ranged from children the youngest being a 5-year-old girl up to and an 87-year-old grandmother whose grandchildren lived in the United States and she wanted to be able to talk to them in English. Which I would like to add she was able to do. I have been teaching in Mexico in Monterrey and also online to students from Mexico city and Guadalajara. At this moment in time, I am also teaching Science to young children in China and to adults in China and Vietnam. We use skype and zoom to have our classes.
