About the teacher

Originally from Brazil, I'm a digital nomad passionate about intercultural communication and diversity. With 9+ years of experience in the field of social impact, I have accumulated a lot of experience with designing learning experiences for skills development on an individual and collective level.

The foundation of my approach is decolonial thinking, so what sets my work apart is creating learning experiences that value people's histories and backgrounds, challenging the way we generate and share knowledge.

In my lessons, you will not only learn the language but also have meaningful exchanges that will invite you to expand your perspective of Brazilian culture and people. If you're interested in learning Brazilian Portuguese while you get to know the work of Black, Indigenous, LGBTQI+ Brazilian activists and others, I'll love to get to know you :)

Experience

I have over five years of experience designing engaging learning experiences, with a strong focus on young adults. My work has been centred on facilitating learning for social impact, guiding diverse groups across cultures in Kenya, Brazil, Portugal, and the UK. I have led courses and workshops on Brazilian Portuguese from a decolonial perspective, as well as broader topics related to language, culture, and social justice.
