Learn Painting
Drawing is a skill that anyone can develop with proper guidance. You will learn the basic techniques of drawing, building especially from the concept "drawing on the right side of the brain" developed by Betty Edwards. We will take the approach that drawing is a way of seeing as well as thinking.
Learning how to draw will be completely tailored to the individual. We will be drawing whatever we see around us that takes our interest. We can converse and move to different locations. There is never an environment you cannot draw in. My favorite subject is people in public, but we can draw whatever we see. We can draw on any surface, with any tools, even with computers, phones and tablets in later stages (I teach digital art as well).
1: How to think and see when drawing - simple exercises to train "right brain" shift
2: Using line to depict the outside world
3: Working with different qualities of line
4: Describing objects with shade and tone
5: Emphasis and exaggeration
