As a beginner, I'll focus on you having a good base (wide vocab.) and understanding of the basic language. Then we'll continue creating basic sentences that will help you understand and communicate better.
As intermediate or advance, we'll review grammatical tenses so you can improve your grammar production and we'll focus on more advanced structures.
BEGINNERS:
- Language introduction. (basic commands, Vocabulary, date, time, months)
- Personal information. (how to present yourself, how to ask someone else about themselves.)
- Everyday routine. (Simple present, create basic sentences related to your every day routine and surroundings.)
- Basic grammar. (verb to be, affirmative and negative, yes and no questions)
- Places and location. (How to ask for instructions, how to give instructions, and how to interact in commerces)
- Production. (Producing lenguaje, target pronunciation mistakes, and review information).
INTERMEDIATE:
- Past tenses.
- Experiences and present relevance.
- Future plans and predictions.
- Opinions and preferences.
- Real world communication.
ADVANCED:
- Complex grammar structures (passive voice, reported speech, conditionals).
- Nuance and style. (deduction, obligation, speculation, emphasis and inversion).

Hi! My name is Karen, I'm Mexican and I've been an English and Spanish teacher for over 4 years.
I'm currently moving to Montreal to keep advancing in my teaching career by studying a master's in Applied Linguistics.
I really enjoy helping others and as a teacher I also learn a lot from my students.
What I enjoy the most about teaching is observing how my students advance and use their new knowledge in real life.
I'm an outdoorsie person, hiking, running, going on walks, and also reading and a little bit of an amateur in painting.
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering by Universidad Iberoamericana Leon, 2023 (Mexico).
Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics at Concordia University (Currently).
I've taught English in language centres in Mexico, and also worked as a full time elementary teacher in a bilingual school in Mexico.
I've been a STEM tutor for undergraduate students at my previous university, in subjects like Math, Algebra, and Physics.
