In this course, you will learn to write a captivating, entertaining, and exciting screenplay for your short or feature film idea. With a focus on structure, pacing, character development, and emotions, you will learn to craft a screenplay that is ready for filming by the end of the course.

My name is Tim, and I am originally from Minnesota. I'm an English tutor and Literature teacher focused on building the fundamentals, confidence, and a comprehensive understanding of the English language. When not teaching, I am an independent filmmaker and avid hiker.
I have nearly 20 years of teaching experience. I received my Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from UCLA. I have taught grammar school, high school, and university students. My curriculum is structructed but tailored to the individual needs of every student. Rather than focusing solely on the rules of grammar, I take a personalized approach that focuses on listening, comprehension, and conversation.
I lived abroad and have been a language learner myself. I know it can be intimidating, but it does not have to be. I bring patience, empathy, and understanding to my lessons on our journey to becoming an English speaker.
