The idea is to get you talking! Each lesson, we will discuss an article or short story. We will learn and use new vocabulary and become more confident in speaking English.
Je veux que vous parliez! Chaque leçon nous discuterons un article ou une histoire courte. Nous apprendrons et pratiquerons du vocabulaire nouveau et deviendrons des plus en plus confiants dans l'usage de l'anglais.
Maximum talking, using vocabulary from texts. This way the new vocabulary has a context and students are able to practice straight away rather than just learning lists of words. Lessons are all taught in English to maximise exposure and to enable students to become familiar with the sounds of English from the start.

Hi, I'm an English teacher and I have moved to France to improve my french (and to go climbing a lot!). I have a PGCE in English and have been working in schools for the past four years teaching and supporting students in their reading and writing of English. I love being able to make a difference in someone's abilities and to see my students gain confidence to use their new skills. Through learning French, I know what it is like to learn a new language so I am patient and encouraging. I can also offer proof-reading of essays and dissertations for students studying English at a higher level.
