I do a needs analysis evaluating speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills in the first lesson to get to know the student's individual needs. Then we get to work! I keep the lessons casual and fun while still working on key skills like grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary.

My lessons are aimed to be casual and conversational, but still maintaining a high degree of structure to ensure success for the student. I go at the student's pace and am flexible to work on what they enjoy, while also focusing on skills that may be weak. I love helping people learn English and working with them!

Hi! My name is James Fulmer and I am a native English speaker from the United States. I recently switched careers as a forensic scientist to a language teacher because I fell in love with it! I get a lot of satisfaction helping people with their English, and I work hard to help people improve. I am flexible, personable, and I will do everything I can for you! When I'm not teaching I love trying new restaurants, meeting new people, playing sports, and being out in the sun!

I have been teaching English for a month here in Barcelona. My students are mostly residents from Barcelona who range from A2 to C1 level of English. I also have experience teaching children swim lessons in the United States. Here most of my students were kids with little to no swimming experience.
