The course will start with simple algebra, which takes up at least 3 sessions. Business math shall take up at least 7 sessions, from basic to complex. This course shall cover computation for ordinary and complex annuities, future and present values, compounding, and amortization of payments.

Generally, I try to understand up to what point the student understands. I also provide materials for them in case they have a difficult time understanding the general idea. And in cases they fail to understand the topic at hand, I do not hesitate repeating the whole idea of the topic.
