What do you like the most about teaching Spanish?
A:

I love teach people from different countries. I love teaching my mother tongue and my culture.

When did you start teaching Spanish?
A:

I started teaching Spanish 18 years ago. My first job was In Spain. I was employed as a Spanish teacher for four years in a school for young adults in Prosperidad (Madrid). My pupils were immigrants whose first language was not Spanish. The objective was to establish and build upon their skills in Spanish so that they could fully function in their new surroundings. Regular assessments and feedback were carried out to ensure that we, the teachers, were fully meeting the needs of the pupils and goals of the school

In your experience, what are the most common reasons for wanting to learn Spanish?
A:

Spanish is a language with 580 million speakers. It is a useful language to learn for business and for travel.

In addition, Spanish culture is also very interesting: food, literature, festivals...

How difficult is it to learn Spanish, compared to other languages?
A:

Spanish is not a very hard language to learn in comparison with other languages like slavic languages, German...

It is easier than French, because Spanish is a very phonetic language.

It does not take long to be able to start speaking in Spanish.

How is Spanish from Spain different from that of other countries?
A:

It is a bit different in use of personal pronouns and verbs but are able to understand each other.

A:

Literature, festivals, Spanish Civil war, music, cinema, paintings...

A:

What makes a good Spanish student?
A:

Try to keep studing and resilient. Some days he will think: "I do not advance" But this happens in any language.

Irregular verbs are probably the hardest part.

A:

Keep going and relax. Take your time. I also struggled with other languages.
