How difficult is it to learn Greek, compared to other languages?

Anna Gkini : Every language has it's own difficulty and in my experience is tied to the culture. When you learn a saying for a example, you have to analyze the way the ancestors thought and attempted to express themselves. Every time you learn a new language you have to see from one's perspective other than your own or what you know so far. But that is just a common aspect for all languages. More specifically I can say that Greek, can be difficult in pronunciation, if your native language does not use the same phonetics, but easy if it does. Iliana Papathanasaki : I could say Greek has a medium level in languages' difficulty. Vocabulary is very rich and Grammar, too. Greek is different than other languages. This should not discourage you from learning it. When you know the simple grammar rules to form correct sentences, then it becomes easy language!
