About the teacher

I am a musician and music educator from Bogotá, Colombia, with over 20 years of experience working across a wide range of musical styles. Music has always been a central part of my life, and I strongly believe that music is a right and something everyone should have access to, regardless of age, background, or previous experience.

What I enjoy most about teaching is sharing this passion and helping people connect with music in a personal and meaningful way. I strive to create a relaxed, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace. For me, teaching is not only about technique, but about confidence, creativity, and expression.

One of my main interests is improvisation, which I consider one of the most natural and effective ways to approach music. Improvisation helps students develop listening skills, musical intuition, and freedom of expression, and I enjoy incorporating it into my teaching whenever possible.

Experience

I have been teaching guitar, ukulele, and music theory for more than 15 years. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked in different cities and countries, including Colombia, Buenos Aires (Argentina), and Germany, which has allowed me to gain experience in a wide variety of cultural and educational contexts.
