Course description:

Hi, ich bin Gavin und ich liebe es, jungen und alten Musikern beizubringen, ihre Fähigkeiten und Kompetenzen in der Musik zu entwickeln
Ich spiele seit fast 34 Jahren Musik. Ich habe einen 1. BA (Hons) in Musik von der Salfrord University (2001).Vorerst werden alle Lektionen auf Englisch abgehalte

Teaching approach:

I provide tuition that focuses on the Students needs, ability. Understanding what a student needs from a lesson may sound obvious, but its common for tutors to teach what they, as tutor 'want' to teach, and that is not necessarily what the student needs or within their abilities. I offer Students an opportunity to define their direction of study. If learning to read and write music is of interest i would recommend it. But its not essential.

I have been playing music for nearly 34 years. I graduated with a 1st BA(Hons) Degree in Music from Salfrord University (2001) I have a wealth of experience, academic teaching ,out playing and session experience. I provide professional guitar tuition catered to your needs. If your unable to easily travel to me I can provide online tuition. A video of your lesson can be arranged for a charge.

Guitar is my First Instrument: There are a huge variety of styles that are possible on the guitar. I have the ability and supporting materials to help you find/develop your preference.

I also teach a variety of instruments. Including Guitar(all types),Bass, Mandolin, Dobro, Lap-Steel, Tenor Banjo, Clarinet ,Piano. Along with instrumental tuition I teach songwriting and composition & Arranging.

If you are interested in online lesson there are a variety of ways this might be done. The easiest is Skype however If you are within a few hundred kilometers on my location it is possible use Jamkazam.com to have lessons in sync and with higher quality audio. I have been playing music for nearly 34 years. I have been teaching for 15 years in UK. Working for both Schools and private institutions and individuals. Among these institutions are. Edinburgh City Counsel (peripatetic) Edinburgh Waldorf School, Most Entertaining (private tuition service) I have a wealth of experience, both academic teaching ,out playing and session experience.
