About the teacher

Hello everyone, I am a Canadian-born language trainer with over 20 years of teaching experience. I have been involved in virtually every area of ESL teaching, such as TOEFL, teacher training, conversation courses, and much more. I love to read, listen to music, both old and new, as well as traveling. I have had thousands of students over the years and have also had the privilege of learning a second language myself (Spanish). I am passionate about helping people like you, perfect their language skills in order to better their study or professional opportunities or for just personal satisfaction.

Hola a todos, soy un instructor de idiomas nacido en Canadá con más de 20 años de experiencia en la enseñanza. He participado en prácticamente todas las áreas de la enseñanza de ESL, como TOEFL, formación de profesores, cursos de conversación y mucho más. Me encanta leer, escuchar música, tanto antigua como nueva, así como viajar. He tenido miles de estudiantes a lo largo de los años y también he tenido el privilegio de aprender un segundo idioma (español).

Me apasiona ayudar a personas como tú a perfeccionar sus habilidades lingüísticas para mejorar su estudio o sus oportunidades profesionales o simplemente para su satisfacción personal. Espero trabajar con usted para llevarlo a donde necesita para alcanzar sus metas en el idioma inglés.

Qualifications

Certification from the Canadian Institute of English, Toronto, 1996.
SIT TESOL Certificate from Costa Rica 2009.
Many training sessions over 16 years, between 2000 - 2016.

Experience

I have almost 21 years of teaching experience. I started working in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic in 2000 and continued working there for 16 years. Since then, I have been working independently, offering Language service in local companies. These services have included 'language classes', 'Business English', translation from Spanish to English, and I also offer Interpreting services.

During that period from 2000 to the present, I have worked exclusively in the language industry. I have 10's of thousands of hours of teaching experience both in the classroom and online.
